A Holly Christmas Table

There's no table more fun to set than a Christmas feast. This year I'm using a variegated holly with my vintage Grindley china. The touch of white in the leaf is softer than a solid green, and brings out the details I'm incorporating in the layout.

Holly and ivy is a bit less expected, yet still traditional for Christmas. And I'm loving all the garden green.

Vintage glassware reflects the light, and always gives a boost to the festivities.

The soft green of the farmhouse quilt keeps things understated with all the detail in this theme. Lace and baby's breath dress it up, and the quiet color keeps the balance.

Fabric flowers are Rachel Ashwell napkin rings.

Shells, script, and boxwood are gathered on a wire pot stand for height. A few baubles and antique linens finish the look.

Seeded eucalyptus rings a metal garden basket.

Vintage monogrammed silver in a fanciful pattern adds to the special occasion.

Stacked flower frogs, and a McCoy jardiniere at the center, and we're ready for the party! Let the celebration begin. . . .

 Wishing you a wonderful holiday!
Merry Christmas, and Ciao! for now!

Jacqueline

  2. Jacqueline, I was just thinking about holly and ivy this morning when I noticed the holly's red blooms while out on a walk. This combination is gorgeous, and the green and white quilt is stunning. I need to decide on what I'll do for our Christmas morning table. Just may need to use a quilt. Thanks for the inspiration!
